This job will be located at our project/regional office in Portland, OR but will require travel to the job site locations (Vancouver, WA and Medford, OR)Responsibilities

Lead the environmental compliance for the projectIdentify, assess and reduce environmental risks to the companyPerform and oversee field inspections and monitoring (water quality, underwater noise etc.)Identify wetland and sensitive environmental areas for protection and fencing in advance of construction activitiesMonitor, forecast and communicate environmental costs at the project levelDevelop and conduct environmental protection and awareness training to staff at all levelsFunction as a principal technical advisor and coordinator for environmental issuesCoordinate with relevant crews on their work locations, material needs, quantities and invoicesInterpret and apply environmental specifications and drawings avoiding and minimizing adverse effects to the natural environment and local communities.Prepare project and Kiewit required reports and communication of environmental risks to project managementAttend field visits with Client and regulatory agenciesLiaise with the client providing them design information, schedule details, quantities etc. ensuring they are aware of any unanticipated discoveries, critical permitting and compliance issues.Qualifications

Ability to travel and relocate as neededMinimum undergraduate degree in an environmental science or engineering fieldKnowledge and experience with multiple Federal, State, and County regulations in Oregon.2+ years' experience managing design and construction environmental compliance for large construction projects (infrastructure experience would be ideal)Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal environmental legislationHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeStrong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first timeDemonstrated commitment to ethics and integrityPassion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurtStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectivesStrong organization, time management, and attention to detailOther Requirements:• Regular, reliable attendance• Work productively and meet deadlines timely• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
