In this role, you will lead Amazon's product suite that models transportation and regional capabilities of all items, offers, sellers, and destinations accurately, authoritatively, and completely for all Amazon marketplaces. The product vision is to exponentially simplify the ability for Amazon businesses and its partners to build superior regionally-contextual initiatives and to enable a customer experience that allows for a seamless shopping experience, from product discovery to purchase, based on their location, program eligibility, and delivery options.You will leverage your deep product management expertise to work backwards from customer scenarios and identify the right opportunities to help us accelerate at scale, and innovate faster for our customers. You will define the product roadmap and bring your vision to life by leading a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, program managers, and other product owners. You will drive day-to-day product development from design through to release. Your product requirements are concise, with clear, measurable success criteria. You are an effective negotiator, make smart trade-offs without sacrificing quality, and drive appropriate schedules. You use data to influence our business strategy and technical priorities, and escalate when necessary without damaging relationships. You independently represent your products and the product team and are comfortable communicating with senior executives as well as with business and technical stakeholders.A day in the lifeAs a Sr. Product Manager - Technical, you will be expected to:Dive deep with your customers to identify and understand their pain points.Use your technical judgment and understanding to test assumptions.Think big to build durable products that anticipate future pain points.Deliver products on time with the right feature set and high quality.Evangelize your products and drive adoption.Contribute to organizational product and roadmap planning.Help others grow professionally.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USABasic QualificationsBachelor's degree5+ years of technical product or program management experience5+ years of end to end product delivery experienceExperience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definitionExperience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a productExperience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on timeExperience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a productExperience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planningExperience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools.Preferred QualificationsMBAExperience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic productsExperience in building and driving adoption of new toolsExperience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSightExperience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision makingExperience with technologies like Hadoop, Rules based systems and Machine learning.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
