click here .Job Duties/Responsibilities:Screen and evaluate any gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory for the determination of possible malignant or related abnormal conditionsScreening of all liquid-based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slidesPerform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policiesEnsure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelinesMaintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of resultsMeet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedureFinalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely mannerProvide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as neededComply with all safety, infection control, and HIPAA policiesRequirements:Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/universitySuccessful completion of an accredited Cytology programASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is requiredPrior experience working in Cytology is preferredThinPrep and SurePath certifications are a plusMust pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency testDemonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniquesAutomated and non-automated testing experience is preferredFamiliarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)Ability to work independently or within a teamHighly organized and strong attention to detailStrong communication skills; both written and verbalMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screenIf you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge, and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:As an EOE/AA employer, Labcorp strives for diversity and inclusion in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
