Meet The Team:

Dexcom is hiring for an Android Software Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this position, you will be designing and developing Android applications for our core CGM devices used all over the world, to help improve the lives of people with diabetes. You will be joining a well-established team & company, on an upward growth trajectory.

Where You Come In:

You will design and build applications for the Android platformYou’ll implement requirements on Android apps, write and update design documentsWe’ll rely on you to continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen development efficiencyYou’ll interface with software test to ensure high quality productYou will develop automated unit and integration testsYou’ll participate in design, code and test reviewsYou will propose and implement enhancements to the apps to improve sustainability

What Makes You Successful:

You have a minimum 1-2 years of native Android app development experience using Kotlin in combination with Jetpack Compose. Knowledge of Java is preferred.You have 3 years of professional software development experienceYou bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and codingYou have experience working in Agile teams & using tools such as Jira and ConfluenceYou have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Github ActionsYou have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlowYou have experience writing automated tests using Espresso and MokitoYou have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP

Education And Experience:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master’s degree and 0-2 years’ equivalent experience.

Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
