Performs computed tomography exams and procedures with maximal image quality, patient safety, and comfort while maintaining the lowest possible radiation exposure. Exams and procedures include all parts of the vasculature structures and organ systems.Technical skills in computed tomographyKnowledge of all vasculature and organ systemsKnowledge of all CT guided invasive proceduresSkilled in the use of contrast agentsBasic patient care and assessment techniquesKnowledgeable in radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation protection, and medical terminologyHigh degree of accuracy in positioning and radiation exposure techniquesRequired:State of California CRTARRT certification in CTVenipuncture certification and/or documentation of trainingCPR/BLSClinical training – Three (3) years’ experience in diagnostic radiography in an acute care facilityOne (1) year in a CT setting of an acute care facilityPreferred:Three (3) years’ experience scanning in CT in an acute care facilityFluoroscopy certification
