POSITION TITLE: Software Engineer III

Position Summary

The Software Engineer – Billing Services builds and maintains highly scalable, robust and data centric micro-services and serverless workflows to support our reimbursement cycle. As part of an engineering team, implements and improves our finance and billing applications.

Primary Responsibilities

Participate in design and technical implementation decisions, perform code reviews and help guide junior engineersWork closely with Product Managers to gather requirements, walk through the design with stakeholders and support the UAT.Participate in designing, building, and maintaining highly sustainable systems to support our business applications.Support QA Testing and AutomationEmployee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and ProcedureCompliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirement

Qualifications

BS degree in computer science, comparable program, or equivalent5+ years of overall software development experience, preferably secure, scalable web applications with Java, and other web technologiesExperience with object-oriented programming in Java or TypeScript, using open source framework such as Spring FrameworkExperience with cloud technologies, AWS is preferredExperience with serverless technologies, preferably based on AWS step function workflow and Lambda functions.Experience with micro-service and event-driven enterprise architectureExperience with software development lifecycle process from build, software configuration, change control, and release and deployment activitiesStrong relational database skills including database design and optimizationDemonstrated teamwork skills with a solid analytical backgroundGreat organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
