As part ofthis team, the CRNA is expected to engage in accurate, ongoing patientassessments, communicate with members of the healthcare team, use resourcesefficiently to deliver optimal care and document care thoroughly in theappropriate records. Administers general, regional anesthetics or MonitoredAnesthesia Care during surgical and/or obstetrical procedures under the medicaldirection of an attending Anesthesiologist. Evaluates situations and informsattending Anesthesiologist of patient's condition; recommends anesthetics to beused; techniques of administration and supportive measures necessary for approvalby attending physician as required by departmental guidelines. Checksanesthesia machine and monitoring equipment, supplies, medication, andanesthesia gases. Monitors and records the patient's vital signs, records allmedication administered to the patient and related reaction and responses. Requirements:Education:HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent (Required) BachelorsDegree: Nursing (Required) Mastersdegree: Nursing (Preferred) Experience:1 Yearexperience in critical care nursing as part of successful completion of CRNAprogram (Required)2 Yearsexperience in an academic medical center OR as a CRNA.
