We are on the lookout for a talented Designer with a specialization in multi-family truss design, proficient in MiTek software.
Position: Designer
Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
Design floor and roof trusses for single-family, multi-family, and light commercial projects.
Utilize software for 3D visualization of plans/buildings.
Navigate windows explorer with server/folder knowledge.
Size and specify EWP for load analysis.
Specify hangers for truss to truss and truss to beam connections.
Collaborate with sales and production teams, addressing queries and concerns.
Ensure quality and accuracy of designs with support from a Design Administrator and Design Analyst.
Coordinate with fellow designers to optimize material usage.
Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and team members.
Assist with technical inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in truss design.
Proficiency in MiTek software is a must.
Familiarity with Google Suite.
High school diploma or GED required; degree in a relevant field preferred.
Experience with CAD or architectural design is beneficial.
Ability to interpret construction documents.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities.
