Position Summary

The Material Handler I may operate forklifts, load trucks, unload and receive parts, pull stock, drive Yard Dogs, clean parts, assemble products or kits and generally clean the work area.

Duties & Responsibilities

Commitment to workplace safetyShipping/Receiving: Receive inbound inventory, place material into storage, pull inventory from storage to fill customer orders, and load material on trucks and trailers for outbound shipment.Material Handling: Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, cranes or other material handling equipment to move material to/from trucks or trailer and within the premises.Parts Cleaning/Assembly: Cleaning parts using hand/pedestal grinders or other metal finishing equipment, utilize hand trucks, forklifts, cranes or other material handling equipment to move material.Provide error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.Work under direct supervision.Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.Other duties as assigned.Shifts

First: 7:00am-5:30pm Mon - Thur.Third: 8:30pm-7:00am Sun-Thur.Overtime available.Skills/Qualifications

Ability to operate forklift and cranes.Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder and bander.Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper and micrometer.Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.Ability to convert metric to English.Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.Capable of setting up and operating one or more processing machines.Speak, write and comprehend conversational English.Strong attention to detail.High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).Benefits
