The Software Engineer must meet the below criteria:
Location:
Initially remote, once COVID-19 protocols subside, will need to be onsite in either Orlando or Rockledge, FL
Years’ Experience:
Senior in College pursuing IT related degree or recent college graduate
Education:
Bachelors in IT related field (ie. Computer Science, Software Engineering etc.)
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Citizenship:
Must currently be a U.S. citizen
Overview
Do you want to help IBR build a portfolio of next-generation mobile enabled data collection systems and enterprise portals? As a Software Engineer at IBR, you will support the Agile based engineering of a robust, secure, and scalable enterprise web portal solution. This position will work closely with IT teams to design, code, test and implement application features and capabilities for an enterprise portal with over 5M users built on the Liferay platform hosted in AWS.
Responsibilities
Support design and development of enterprise web front-end using technologies such as: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, Bootstrap, JSON, XML, and/or AJAX
Build a cross-platform and cross-browser front-end in DevOps environment with continuous integration, regression testing, and deployment
Partner closely with UX and back-end engineers to ensure features are developed holistically
Follow Agile software development methodology and team architecture and application security standards
Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues/defects
Develop user needs analysis, storyboards, interactive mockups, and training artifacts (e.g., Quick Reference Guides, Tutorial videos).
Provide inputs to use cases, user stories, and design specifications.
Plan and conduct heuristic evaluations and usability testing of user interfaces.
Support the facilitation of human-centered design activities (e.g., focus groups, semi-structured interviews, user in the loop evaluations) of Department of Defense (DoD) systems.
Present demo designs and development features to the customer
Qualifications
Front-End web development and UI/UX design experience that includes hands on experience with technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Angular, Bootstrap, Java, AJAX, and/or PHP
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Protoshare a bonus
Experience developing and integrating complex software systems through the full SDLC.
Experience delivering in Agile based environments
AWS experience desired
Experience with SAFe is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g,. software developers, systems engineers, requirements analysts) preferred
Portfolio of prior design work is preferred
