Position Overview:The company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Manager with a Juris Doctorate degree to lead our trade compliance and sanctions efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating complex legal intricacies related to trade regulations and sanctions, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations across all aspects of our business operations.Key Responsibilities:Legal Compliance:

Interpret, monitor, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including but not limited to export controls, anti-trust, economic sanctions, customs regulations, and anti-boycott laws.Policy Development:

Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks associated with trade compliance and sanctions.Risk Assessment:

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and develop strategies to address them effectively.Training and Education:

Provide training and guidance to employees at all levels on trade compliance and sanctions requirements, ensuring awareness and understanding of relevant regulations and policies.Due Diligence:

Conduct due diligence with business partners, customers, and suppliers to assess compliance with trade regulations and sanctions.Investigations and Remediation:

Lead investigations into potential compliance violations, coordinate remediation efforts, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Government Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and authorities on trade compliance matters, including regulatory inquiries and audits.Stay Updated:

Stay informed about changes in trade regulations and sanctions regimes, assess their impact on the business, and recommend appropriate actions.Qualifications:Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, including export controls, economic sanctions, customs laws, and anti-boycott regulations.Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programs in a multinational corporate environment.Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
