Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking an Associate Data Scientist/Data Scientist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Palmdale, CA, where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing organization, working collaboratively while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.Essential Job Functions:Creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Analysis may have many applications, such as addressing a business issue or providing a competitive advantage for the organization. Requires strong statistical and data visualization skills.Basic Qualifications (Level 1):0 Years experience with Bachelors in ScienceAbility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access.Knowledge of data gathering, cleansing, and transformation techniques.Capable of gathering large amounts of data, evaluating and identifying trendsCapable of presenting data via MS PPT, excel, and other Office toolsFamiliarity with data evaluation tools such as MS Excel, VBAAbility to collaborate between self-organizing and cross-functioning teamsProficient in Microsoft SuiteIntermediate to advanced Excel (Formula, Gantt charts, pivot tables, Slicer)Strong Communication SkillsSelf driven learnerBasic Qualifications (Level 2)2 years' experience with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters.Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access.Knowledge of data gathering, cleansing, and transformation techniques.Capable of gathering large amounts of data, evaluating and identifying trendsCapable of presenting data via MS PPT, excel, and other Office toolsExperience with data evaluation tools such as MS Excel, VBAStrong Communication SkillsAdvanced Excel (Formula, Gantt charts, pivot tables, Slicer)Capable of using Tableau to evaluate data and presentProficient in Microsoft SuiteSelf driven learnerPreferred Qualifications:Active DoD Secret clearanceExperience with cost account managementKnowledge of databases (SQL Server, AWS Databases (DynamoDB, RDS, or similar)) and schema.Experience configuring and extracting data from numerous data sources and bringing them togetherExperience with SharePoint and creating websites via SharepointAgile development.Salary Range:

$79,300 - $118,900Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
