Leidos Health Mission Solutions is seeking a NOC SOC Lead (Network Operations Center / Security Operations Center), contingent upon contract award, to support the US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) in the Rockville, MD area.

This position is contingent upon contract award.
Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and have lived in the US for the past 3 consecutive years.

The NOC SOC Lead position is a highly visible strategic position to serve as part of a team to deliver operations support services to HHS. The team this position is part of will provide a range of services from Operations management and support of technological and infrastructure. This encompasses a range of functions from procurement and asset management to service desk, call center operations, infrastructure assets and security. Additionally, Operations provides comprehensive lifecycle management and support for production systems, proactive monitoring, daily operations, system deployment, and integration, all aimed at aligning infrastructure with objectives and compliance standard with Federal mandates.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Directs operations and integration activities at Network operations center.
  • Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.
  • Provide 24x7x365 support to restore service within established SLAs for service interruptions or other critical problems.
  • Respond and Resolve Incidents and Requests within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA) times.
  • Manages routine and ad hoc change management.
  • Ability to configure and maintain Cisco routers and switches and Wi-Fi devices.
  • Maintain critical operational information/documentation (e.g., update and maintain network topologies, rack elevation drawings, physical network location and access details, customer details, and network inventory details)
  • Warehousing and tracking of equipment needed for network projects and operational spares.
  • Work cooperatively, collaboratively, and transparently with all associated organizations to support network deployments.
  • Manage and set priorities for the monitoring and maintenance of network systems, including LANs, WANs, internet, intranet, wireless.
  • Managing and setting priorities for the Network Management Operations team.
  • Implementation and maintenance of monitoring, logging, and alerting for the network infrastructure and supporting systems using monitoring tools.
  • Review of system vulnerabilities and development and implementation of remediation plans in adherence with Security Policies.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field and eight (8) to ten (10) years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance, and the past 3 consecutive years residency in the US.
  • Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA).
  • Experience working as a network operation lead.
  • Experience in managing network operations in complex, medium to large-sized settings.
  • Experience in creating reports using security and network appliances with primary administration tools such as Cisco CSM, Splunk etc.
  • Experience and familiarity with IT management products and services.
  • Experience in collaborating with server, endpoint, and security teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:
  • ITIL V3 certification.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching.

Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
