Job Description
The client servicing team in the A&S group of Global Finance Operations (GFO) is a key area of focus and growth. Professionals in the A&S team play an integral role as they are the direct link to Originator, Syndicator and the Relationship Manger at Natixis in this important client facing role. As such, A&S team members are expected to execute the client management processes and procedures noted below, as well as actively manage and proactively solve client servicing issues, with management escalation as necessary.
The Middle Office and Agency Officer's duties entails taking direct ownership as one of the visible "faces" of Natixis Administrative Agency with high level of direct customer contact and is expected to act and prosecute the role with a high degree of autonomy. The Agency Officer will be responsible for a primary portfolio of highly visible agency mandates for the bank. As such, the role will encompass of all responsibilities as Administrative Agent for Natixis, New York Branch Agency mandates within the Corporate Financing (Strategic Sectors & Distribution, Americas & Finance) and Investment Banking (Global Markets and Investment Banking) lending products. In addition to their own direct client accounts, the duties also may entail backing up the point colleague responsible for Real Estate and Hospitality (REH) Business Unit ("BU").
They/he/she is expected at all times to act in an entrepreneurial manner to support the main client relationship, while protecting the economic and reputational interests of Natixis.
The salary range for this position will be between $150,000 - $180,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
In collaboration with A&S colleagues and with transaction- and customer-oriented focus, support Global Trade (GT), Global Infrastructure and Projects (GIP), Aviation Finance (AF), Latin America (LAT), Structured Asset Finance (SAF), and Global Structured Credit, Solutions (GSCS) Business Units ("BU") and to a limited degree, Real Estate and Hospitality (REH) to gain, maintain and manage Administrative and Security Agency mandates.

- Support BUs in deal pricing and pitching to gain mandates, understand and advise deal structuring to enhance practicality of structures and to minimize operational and reputational risk
- Aid BUs in compliance related matters and assist in on-boarding process for lenders, including Administrative Questionnaire and KYC items.
- Examine draft legal documentation and provide advice and feed-back to BU and/or lenders' counsel.
- Provide Agency support and services to internal and external customers for legal and operational closing of transactions; this includes management of conditions precedent and subsequent.
- Perform all A&S functions, including, but not limited to:
- Monitor covenants and internal/external deadlines.
- Monitor Collateral and set up an update in LIQ
- Receive, review, and disseminate to stakeholders i.e. borrowers, lenders and internal departments, BU, Compliance team, Client On-Boarding, Tax Department, Legal Counsel, Audit, documentation from borrowers and lenders.
- Coordinate the Closing of the deal in the internal System LIQ with the Loan Booking team and process all the Closing Controls as Agent and Lender
- Coordinate with Loan Booking team in case of Amendment in a deal and ensure deal is properly set up and updated
- Coordinate with Loan Booking team on the Booking of the Insurance and Assignment (Syndication process)
- Instruct BO to book the Upfront Fees (Flat or amortized) after review with FO
- Calculate the Insurance Premiums due to the Brokers on Insured deals and instructs BO to process
- Field and answer requests for information and documentation from stakeholders.
- Calculate and invoice interest, fees and principal due.
- Interact with service provider Alter Domus for the setting up and maintenance of transactions in AD's systems.
- Instruct Data Management to set up payment instructions.
- Coordinate processing of audit confirmations.
- Ensure UCC filings are properly registered and renewed.
- Interact with and instruct Loan and Payment Services and Letter of Credit teams for Lender L/C, borrowing and repayment activity, notifications and rate settings.
- Maintain and update KYC and AML documentation in conjunction with Compliance and keep updated with relevant regulatory and compliance rules, including all required Natixis training in such areas.
- In line with bestowed signature authorities, sign internal and external legal documents on behalf of Natixis Agency.
- Manage the distribution and lenders' voting requirements for waivers and amendments to financing documentation.
- Handle all Agency-related aspects of process of Assignments/Sales/Secondary trades.
- Be familiar with legal documentation, including the ability to analyze, interpret and act on provisions therein, with consultation to both internal and external Legal Counsel on matters that are more complex or require interpretation.
- Use an array of IT systems to perform duties mentioned above. As needed, create and maintain monitoring spreadsheets in Excel.
- As a team member, share business experience with team members to increase professionalism of whole team.
- Interact in all aspects with outsourcing partners Alter Domus, the outsourcing sub-agent of A&S for non REH counterparties.
- Assuming of new responsibilities under A&S "Servicing" platform as it is expected to evolve and be determined, including, but not limited to operational tasks taken on from Middle Office and the design and evolution of either new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
