About the Team

VIZIO’s Product Management team is seeking a Technical Product Manager. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to research new features and contribute to product specifications. The Product Manager will report to the Sr. Director of HW Product Management and provide support to the HW Product Management team.What You Will Do

Work closely with engineering and software teams to evaluate product features and help to define product behavior and performance goals.Build product feature specifications related to system performance and contribute feature PRDs with details for engineering, chipset vendors, ODMs, and QA testing process.Communicate the technical feature specification of VIZIO products to Management, Sales & Marketing, Quality Assurance, etc., as well as to ODMs, chipset makers, and other third-party vendors.Create and maintain technical documentation and presentation materials to support product roadmaps and specifications.Drive the execution of Product Team specification projects from inception to reporting, including understanding roles and responsibilities for other teams and adhering to integrated timelines to ensure alignment across the team.Collaborate closely with engineering, ODMs, and vendors to ensure understanding of our product feature requests and specifications and their capabilities.Perform ODM technical design reviews.Manage and maintain US Federal, State, and Software/Technology Licensing compliance programs for VIZIO’s consumer electronics hardware including high-definition televisions, home theater, soundbars, and other audio equipment, and related accessories.Partner with VIZIO’s supply chain to ensure ongoing legal and regulatory product level compliance such as IEC/UL 62368-1, CEC, FCC, ATSC, TSCA, RoHS, etc.Partner with the VIZIO Legal Compliance Team to monitor Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations that could impact VIZIO’s hardware development or sales, including but not limited to product safety, energy efficiency, chemicals restrictions, environmental design, and disabled accessibility requirements.Implement new legal or regulatory compliance policies and procedures related to VIZIO’s hardware as needed or at the request of VIZIO’s Legal Compliance Team.Communicate compliance requirements and compliance data to VIZIO internal teams for reporting or public disclosure requirements.Other duties as needed.About You

You have a minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.You have 1-2+ years of related engineering work experience.You have 1-2+ years product management and consumer electronics product experience.You enjoy being organized and possess a high attention to detail.You possess good technical knowledge of spec and features of TV and Audio products, as well as other modern CE devices.Experience with regulatory and product safety standards is a plus.Experience with compliance obligations including those mandated by the FCC, EPA, DOE, CEC, DOT, etc. is a plus.Experience with technology licensing requirements such as Dolby, DTS, HDMI, ATSC, WiFi, BT, App partners (Netflix, Amazon, AppleTV), etc. is a plus.You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tell complex stories simply and adapt to questions, rather than just presenting information.You have strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and cross-functional stakeholders simultaneously to drive outcomes within often tight deadlines or quick turnaround times.About VIZIO

The minimum salary for this position is $90,000/year. The maximum salary for this position $118,000/year. In addition to the base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
