Our growing Columbus client is seeking a
Azure Network Lead . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure network architecture and management, aligning with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Azure network solutions to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
Lead the development and deployment of Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and other networking components.
Optimize network performance and troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure Security Center.
Collaborate with cloud architects, system administrators, and developers to integrate network solutions with cloud and on-premises environments.
Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for Azure network infrastructure and operations.
Conduct network capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers and other IT team members.
Stay updated on the latest Azure networking technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in network administration with a strong focus on Azure networking solutions.
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
Proficiency in designing and managing Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and related networking services.
Strong understanding of network security principles and experience with firewalls, NSGs, and Azure Security Center.
Experience with network performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) for network management is a plus.
Solid understanding of ITIL practices and Agile methodologies is a plus.
