Trust & Estate Attorney

Description

Pierro, Connor & Strauss, LLC, an established New York State law practice with offices in Albany, New York City, Long Island, and Hudson, is currently seeking a dedicated, motivated Attorney with three (3) plus years of practice experience in Estate Administration (probate and trust administration) and Trust and Estate Planning. This position will be located in our Latham office.

Responsibilities
• Manage the entire estate administration process from inception to closure
• Work with paralegal and staff to file probate documents, petitions, and related court forms
• Coordinate communication with courts, clients, beneficiaries, and other relevant parties
• Conduct legal research on probate laws, regulations, and case precedents
• Analyze complex legal issues related to estate administration and provide strategic recommendations
• Review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of estate administration
• Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Oversee the management of estate assets, including financial accounts, real estate, and personal property
• Work closely with financial institutions, appraisers, and other professionals involved in the estate settlement process
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing estate administration
