QA/QC Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Professionally represent GH Phipps and effectively support Company strategic initiatives
  • Establish and foster positive long-term relationships with internal customers and business partners
  • Execute GH Phipps policies and procedures
  • Embraces a lean culture and work environment

  • Provide Quality Control Systems Management and Oversight for GH Phipps Quality Control Program with authority to act in all quality control matters.
  • Provide support to teams to Implement and Manage all phases of quality control including but not limited to Preparatory, First Work and Follow Up.
  • Communicating project-specific quality requirements to all affected departments and team members.
  • Promote and maintain effective communications and relations with senior management, project teams, AHJs and clients as required.
  • Ensuring that the Quality System is established and implemented by persons doing work that impacts quality
  • Review and approval of all project Quality System records
  • Assisting in controlling corrective actions
  • Assisting in resolving quality nonconformances
  • Recruit, train, mentor and supervise quality control personnel.
  • Coordinate quality control staffing needs on projects.
  • Uses safety equipment as prescribed by company to ensure safety on jobsite
  • As a safety sensitive position, complete adherence to alcohol and drug use policies set by company
  • In-person, predictable attendance at assigned location


The QA/QC Manager has the authority to:

  • Stop work when continuing work may adversely affect quality or cover up a defect
  • Prevent the use of materials that may adversely affect quality or cover up a defect
  • To direct the removal and replacement of any non-conforming work or material by GH Phipps, any subcontractor, or any supplier.
  • Suspend work and/or supply of materials by any staff member, subcontractor personnel, or supplier as deemed necessary to assure quality results.


EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture
  • Relevant industry experience accepted in place of degree


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Managerial & QC Systems Roles
  • Solid computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office products and adaptable to other computer programs.
  • Outgoing person that is self-directed and can accomplish goals necessary for the success of the division.

The salary range for this position is $ 105,000 - 135,000 annually and is dependent in experience and title/rank of position offered.
