NP/PA - Critical Care - Green Bay, WI

Opportunity Details:

Bellin Health System, Inc. located in Green Bay, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Clinician to join our Critical Care Team. The Critical Care APC works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team comprised of experienced Critical Care Physicians, APCs, and Nurses.

Shift Hours:

Full-Time 1.00 FTE (40 hours/week), Day/Night rotation

Practice Details:

• Full-time practice: 1.0
• 22 bed mixed adult ICU
• 9P-9A or 8A-8P, 7 night shifts rotated every 4 weeks, 5 day shifts rotated every 4 weeks
• Every 4th weekend, 2 night holidays, a total of 12 shifts a month.
• Total of 150 shifts yearly
• Highly skilled Critical Care Team consisting of 3 Physicians and 4 Nurse Practitioners
• Average Length of Stay 1.2-1.6 days
• No Trauma
• No Pediatrics
• Perform H&P, consolations, and clinical assessments for patients with complex critical healthcare needs
• Write orders, including diagnostic testing and medication orders to accomplish acute and long-term plan of care
• Treat and administer pharmacological therapies, IV fluids, and blood products
• Manage oxygen therapies, including non-invasive and invasive ventilation therapy, based on interpretation of clinical, imaging, and blood gas data in conjunction with collaborating Intensivist

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required, WI RN license and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) certification required; or WI Physician Assistant license required.
• A minimum of 2 years of critical care APC clinical experience is preferred
• Advance Cardiac Life Support Certification
• Critical care medical management of patients
• Procedural proficient but not required
