Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Transformation Office is looking for an experienced Project Manager to (a) understand relevant business objectives and processes; (b) move projects forward within a project management framework; (c) assist with analysis and data gathering; (d) maintain clear, succinct updates for discussion and reporting; and (e) form opinions on project status and direction.

Your dynamic approach to tasks, coupled with your ability to effectively communicate and present ideas, will contribute to the overall success of our team.

The Transformation Office Project Manager will be part of the Transformation Office team under the direction of a Program Manager. They should be comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization, carrying out detailed work (requirements, analysis, milestone tracking, status updates and benefit calculation) and be both flexible and hardworking.

Critical Thinking
  • Ability to comprehend business objectives, processes, and challenges including technical aspects
  • Ability to think critically and formulate logic-based opinions

Communication / Soft Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to articulate objectives, processes and challenges concisely
  • Keen sense of organization; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to confidently and appropriately present information to various audiences

Experience
  • Demonstrable project management experience (at least two years' experience, preferred)
  • Experience facilitating and leading workshops focused on both understanding and solving complex problems
  • Experiencing driving, implementing and sustaining change
  • Experience in presenting information succinctly to senior leadership

Technical Knowledge
  • Excellent MS Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Proficient in Atlassian platforms (Confluence and JIRA)
  • Competence with SharePoint/PowerApps preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Python preferred, but not required.


Qualifications

About You:
  • You're adaptable, pro-active, open, and collaborative in your approach to working with others
  • Conversant in organizational structure and interested in how operational components contribute to an end product
  • Versed in project management and can apply your knowledge to real-world process improvements
  • Comfortable with leading projects alone or leading with others
  • Generally familiar with the investment industry
  • Experienced in managing people (directly or indirectly)
  • Able to distill key ideas from larger, less organized sets of information and are able to simplify complex problems into more digestible ones
  • Able to organize, analyze and manipulate large datasets
  • Project Management (PMP or CAPM), Lean Six Sigma (GB+), Design Thinking, Scrum Management (CSM), Change Management (CCMP) or Client Experience certification(s) are considered an asset but not required
