Sagitec is seeking a Product Owner to work with department Executive Directors, Business Owners, system developers, quality assurance, product delivery, training, and sales teams to lead the evolution of the Benefit Payments product.

Product Owners lead Agile teams in the development of the highest quality product that meets industry best practices and standards, continuously working towards the improvement and growth of the Neospin Benefits Administration Solution and the team.

Neospin Benefit Administration Solutions are implemented by Sagitec teams across clients in the US and internationally.

As a Product Owner at Sagitec, you will:
  • Connect with and understand our customers
    • Evaluate customer business requirements and emerging market trends, regulations, and compliance to identify Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
    • Establish and present Business Case to stakeholders for product creation and enhancements
    • Present product functionality and supporting materials to customer teams and provide Subject Matter expertise on leading practices.
  • Expand and develop the product vision and roadmap
    • Support the product manager with business context and features for the product roadmap and vision for customer and market needs.
    • Lead the evolution of a product roadmap and present to stakeholders.
    • Evolve product standards that improve quality and viability.
  • Solicit and apply feedback
    • Identify, communicate, escalate, and resolve team dependencies and impediments.
    • Assess product delivery for requirement satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate and prioritize the team backlog
    • Develop a healthy program backlog based on input from business owners, industry regulations, and emerging trends and align with the product roadmap.
    • Manage the elaboration and sizing stories of user stories for product features.
    • Groom backlog to establish feature priority for Program Increment planning and present to stakeholders.
  • Support the team in delivering value
    • Inspire agile teams to achieve Iteration and Planning Interval objectives.
    • Deliver an exceptional product according to program increment timelines.
    • Validate and accept the developed features and stories of the Program Increment.
    • Coach and mentor the team on the product subject matter, design, development, and technology standards utilizing leading practices
    • Build a culture of continuous innovation and product advancement.

To be a Product Owner at Sagitec, you have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in MIS, computer science, or financial fields.
  • 8+ years in the role of Product Owner or 5+ years of Pension experience
    • Preference is given to candidates that have worked in a product-oriented role to develop a large enterprise product solution.
    • Preference is given to candidates for experience with defined benefit, defined contribution, and health / life insurance benefit systems.
  • Expertise with SAFe, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and project methodologies.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Azure Dev/Ops or similar application lifecycle management (ALM) toolsets.
  • Excellent knowledge and commitment of user-centered design principles.
  • Successfully implemented configurable product design and business patterns.
  • Managed and owned backlog / requirements to prioritize and groom features and stories of the minimum viable product (MVP).
  • Enforced product and design quality standards in the development of software.
  • Analyzed and transformed business requirements while working with subject matter experts (SME) to translate vision into a functional design.
  • Led and coordinated the responsibilities of onsite and offsite project teams.
  • Provided product expertise to meet client deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical staff.
  • The ability to speak comfortably in front of audiences of 10 people or more.
  • Excellent analytic, problem solving and communication skills.
  • A team first, quality first and business /end user focused attitude.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with defined benefit, defined contribution, and health / life insurance benefit systems, specifically with the Benefit Payments.
  • Preference is given to candidates with Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) and / or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certifications.
  • Strong preference is given for experience with the implementation of an enterprise, product-based solution.
