As an M&A Associate Attorney, you will manage the business and legal contracts of our Corporate
Legal Team.
Essential Functions:
- Handle a diverse range of corporate and business matters including mergers and acquisitions, business and legal management and other sophisticated transactions.
- Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients.
- Conduct legal research and analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to achieve optimal outcomes.
Competencies:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing corporate law, with a focus on M&A and sophisticated transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services with attention to detail.
- Experience in a midsize or large law firm preferred.
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills as well as the flexibility and emotional intelligence needed.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, contracts for service, vendor contracts, and non-compete agreements.
Required education and experience:
- Bachelors Degree or higher.
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Candidates must be licensed with the VA State Bar or eligible to be licensed to practice in Virginia.
