One of our clients has an immediate opportunity for an Accounting Manager / Corporate Controller at Vaco. As a Vaco Controller, you will direct financial activities such as planning, procurement, and investments for all parts of the organization.Oversees accounting procedures, processes, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing), and database managementManages Account Receivable (AR), Account Payable (AP) personnel and oversees their work performanceAssures accounting compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesManages operational data and ensures data integrity and accuracy as well as development of operational procedures and documentation of data flowPrepares accurate reports and financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basisPlans, organizes, and coordinates the monthly closing procedures and processesReviews audit reports for accuracyAudits workflow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorizedAssists in the month-end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliationCoordinates the annual and interim financial statement audits with external auditors including preparation of all supporting schedulesConducts year-end preparation of financial information for auditorsAssists Project Managers with client invoicesAnalyzes billing, expenses, and job costingPerforms financial analysis of balance sheets and income statementsMaintains fixed asset system of all property and equipmentResponsible for ensuring all payroll taxes and fiduciary responsibilities are metTrains staff on internal control proceduresWorks on special projects, as requested, and assists others as neededREQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in accounting or finance requiredCPA preferredExtensive Costpoint, accounting, and finance experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP, accounting processes, and internal controlVaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
