About the Role

We are looking to hire our first Product Manager to build on the company's current momentum. As a PM, you will partner with sales, operations and engineering to deliver the ideal capital markets product for small business entrepreneurs and investors.

This is a complex and challenging role that will require you to deeply understand user needs, become a domain expert on capital raising mechanics, and collaborate with internal teams and early customers to build and launch a seamless experience at scale.

This role is high ownership and high impact. It requires someone who enjoys working hard and moving fast.

Responsibilities
  • Deeply understand the pain points and challenges for raising and investing capital into SMB acquisitions
  • Own key user journeys, from entrepreneurs getting pre-qualified for a raise to investors completing the capital call for an investment
  • Collaboratively partner with customers and teammates (e.g., engineering, compliance, operations) early in the product development lifecycle
  • Help shape the direction of our capital markets platform, including product strategy, roadmap and go-to-market
  • Partner with go-to-market team to acquire, educate and activate investors on the market


Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management roles at Series A to Series C startups
  • You are driven by mission and are more hardcore than most folks you've worked with
  • Experience building two-sided marketplace products
  • Comfortable building products that are a mix of people, process, and software
  • Enjoys being a generalist and does whatever it takes to achieve our goals


Nice-to-Have
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Past exposure to capital raising, either as a product manager, investor or entrepreneur
  • Working knowledge of financing concepts, such as equity structures, waterfalls, cap tables, etc.
  • Familiarity with SMB ecosystem, search funds, independent sponsors, etc
