The Managing Director provides financial services to ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and families, including financial planning, investment strategy, and implementation. This individual will manage existing client relationships, participate in new business development activities, and help formulate and implement investment and financial planning advice.The ideal candidate will have excellent experience in business development and thrive on building a pipeline as well as growing existing client relationships. Strong communication skills and the ability to be a team player are a must.Duties & Responsibilities:

Leads client engagements and delivers effective and appropriate adviceServes as lead relationship manager to clients or as co-lead relationship manager for clients with another Managing DirectorOn larger relationships may serve as an additional team member with other MD’s in leadActively listens to client concerns and needsMaintains professional credentials and develops individual technical knowledge at the expert level for UHNW clientsProactively communicates, educates and builds consensus with clients, their families, and advisors about techniques appropriate to consider understanding the family’s goals/objectives, time frames, and risk toleranceAssists in implementation of planning techniques with client and advisorsEffectively prepares for quarterly clients meetings including development of agendas and action itemsEstablishes spirit of teamwork and respect with operational team within the firmResponsible for highly organized Practice Management activities

Prepares meeting agendas and reviews meeting files prior to client meetingReturns client phone calls/emails within 24 hoursManages client follow-up and oversees delegation within the firmManages and prioritizes workloadMasters the Oxford WayManages billings with client according to proceduresAttends firm meetings regularly including the FOS Technical roundtables, MD meetings, and Joint MD meetingsGrows the Oxford client base through aggressive Practice Management activities

Pursues new client leads locally and in assigned marketsCommunicates Oxford Story to prospects and advisorsIdentifies opportunities for referrals to OxfordDevelops strong relationships with client advisorsCreates, implements, and updates individual Practice Management Plan. Develops an appropriate direct campaign.Participates in Practice Management meetings and training programsWorks closely with Practice Management Manager and the Value Council on new opportunitiesMakes joint calls with Oxford personnelPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with CFP strongly preferred and additional professional designations such as CPA, JD, LLM, PFS, etc. helpfulMinimum of ten years’ experience in the financial services industry leading client engagementsProven track record of consistent business developmentStrong working knowledge of financial planning techniques, investments, insurance, income/estate taxes, retirement planning, and estate planning techniquesEffective Practice Management leaderHigh integrity is vital on both personal and professional levelsTeam player able to work in a collegial and close collaboration environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsAble to multi-task in a high-stress, fast-paced environmentWorking Conditions:
