At FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc., we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Chemist in our CMP group at our Mesa, Arizona facility.As a global leader in chemical solutions for the semiconductor industry, we supply top-tier manufacturers with a broad array of products and services used throughout the semiconductor manufacturing process.The Role
The Sr. Research Chemist will focus on new Chemical Mechanical Polishing/Planarization (CMP) slurry formulation development for next-generation semiconductor technologies.Responsibilities
Develop new CMP slurry formulations based on customer/technology needs.Apply knowledge of various chemistry aspects to CMP slurry development.Investigate chemistry and abrasive interactions with different films.Fine-tune slurry chemistry for desired polishing rates and metrology performance.Coordinate with engineering and lab staff on formulation needs.Provide consultation to various teams on CMP slurry chemistries.Conduct literature/IP search, present data, and file patents.Design experiments, analyze data, and present technical data to customers.Requirements
Minimum Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Materials Science, or Colloidal Science.1-2 years experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.Analytical abilities, experimental skills, and chemistry expertise required.Familiarity with various chemistry aspects desired.Self-motivated individual with a passion for research and development.Fast learning capability and excellent communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office required.Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks.Must work well in a team environment.Ability to work in a lab environment and direct technicians efficiently.May require standing and working in the lab for parts of some days.Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.Must pass a post-offer drug screening.
