Need to have at least 12 + years of experience with core networking technologies and other disciplines related to data communicationsAbility to work and document proof of concepts (POCs), assessments, detailed evaluations report etc.Keeping documentation of networks, including drawings, descriptions and configurationsSolid understanding of network topologies: routing & switchingSolid understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP and packet analysis)Researching network technologies and staying up to date on advancements in the fieldAbility to write technical and operations documentationAbility to describe technical concept; verbally and on paperCisco Certification, CCNP or above a plus.Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, designing and implementing data communication networks to meet organization needsPartner with vendors to select appropriate technical solutions.Planning and designing data communication networksPresenting network plans to management staffOverseeing the network implementation process, including setting schedules and budgetsDevelop state of the art technology appropriate to deliver stable and scalable technical solutions.Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget.Manage several simultaneous projects from conception through implementation.Contribute to standards and design patterns. Deliver solutions tailored to internal business requirements. Articulate design rationale, flexibly adapt solutions, and iterate designs when required.Managing information and network securityImplementing upgrades to hardware and software as neededRouters, Switches, LAN/WAN Design and EngineeringVPN technologies, Network Encryption and Network Access Control experience.Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-based routers: ASR, ISRs, Cat8Ks.Hands-on experience with Cisco Licensing ServerCisco IOS based switches within the Catalyst and Nexus families.Strong working knowledge of networking layer 3 technologies, such as routing protocols OSPF, BGP, EVPN, ACI, Multicast, VRF, GRE & IPSecSolid working knowledge of data communication protocol suites such as TCP/IP and other general data networking knowledge (data cabling), and telecom services (T1/T3/OC3, etc.)Working knowledge of network infrastructure performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activitiesIn-depth knowledge of layer 2 technologies, such as Vlans, Spanning-Tree, MLAG, MEC, VXLAN and MPLS.Central Authentication, Authorization and Accounting protocols such as RADIUS or TACACS+Display their core network engineering fundamental knowledge which includes but not limited to network system design and implementation procedures
