.NET Portal Developer12 month contractLocal to MNAt a high level, the resource will help support the existing Portal system. The Portal system is a centralized website providing a myriad of functions to external customers. It is written in VB.net and uses ASP.net Web Forms as its major technologies. Included in support of the Portal is the support of over 100 data extract transfer loads (ETL) received from various entities.The work is expected to be done remotely for now, but in the future, may be required to work full-time on-site in St. Paul, MN.Sample TasksCollaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designsFormulate program specifications and basic prototypesTransform software designs and specifications into high-functioning code in the .Net family of languagesIntegrate individual software solutions to higher-level systemsUse web-based tools to create and advance applicationsTest code periodically to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessaryPerform upgrades to make software and systems more secure and efficientModernize existing applications by rewriting them in newer technologyProvide knowledge transferDesired QualificationsFour (4) years’ experience with .Net developmentFour (4) years’ experience with Entity FrameworkThree (3) years’ experience with SQL Server / T-SQLTwo (2) years’ experience with ASP.Net Web FormsCriminal Justice experienceExperience and knowledge of the full Software Development LifecycleData Extract Transfer Load (ETL) experienceSQL Server Reporting ServicesExperience and knowledge in secure software development methodologiesCurrent residence status within reasonable driving distance of St. Paul MNEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
