Monitor and review strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions from higher echelon headquarters and make recommendations to ensure compliance and/or consideration in planning efforts.Develop plans and orders through the application of operational art and operational design, and by using the Joint Planning Process (JPP), within the milestones, deliverables, and interaction points for plans developed using Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) activities.Provide input to briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and assisting in the coordination of joint operational planning in support of training, exercises, combat, and contingency plans and operations.Develop and integrate cyberspace capabilities into deliberate, contingency, operations, and crisis action planning.Provide input for the development of TTPs, CONOPs, COAs, and other related documents related to OCO, DCO, and the securing, operating, and defending of the DODIN.Provide input to address shortfalls, prioritize and validate requirements, and be prepared to modify development planning efforts based on the changing cyberspace environment.Contribute to the development of exercise scenarios, exercise operational plans, and other required documentation to support planning and execution to accomplish USCYBERCOM exercise training priorities.Conduct research of current and emerging threats to U.S. Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR).Participate in Joint Planning Groups (JPGs), and Operational Planning Groups/Teams (OPG/OPTs).The Cyberspace Joint Operations Planner will:

Participate in and provide input throughout all planning functions, from translating strategic guidance through concept and plan development to plan assessments and associated functions.Analyze the development, revision, and coordination of campaign, support, and contingency plans, including commander’s estimates, base plans, concept plans, and operations plans, and ensure Cyberspace operations are integrated with all appropriate and associated annexes and appendices.Coordinate and integrate DoD requirements, targets, and priorities into planning.Participate in all Joint operation contingency and crisis planning activities as a member of Joint Planning Groups (JPG) and Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), as needed to ensure proper representation of applicable guidance and doctrine into planning.The Cyberspace Joint Operations Planner will have:

Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph, upon applicationBA or BS degree10+ years of experience as a Joint operations Planner or Service-level plannerFour years of planning experience may be substituted with completion of advanced Service planning school, e.g., School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SASS), Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS)Master’s Degree may count towards planning experienceComplete working knowledge of the Joint Planning Process (JPP)Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I and JPME Phase IIJPME II-equivalent courses: Air War College, Army War College, Naval War CollegeStrong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills; Excellent communication skillsExperience working at an operational and strategic level
