CNC Programmer

Responsibilities:Develop cost estimates on individual parts and update MRP system accordingly.Perform job planning based on estimates.Create CNC programs for planned jobs.Review customer drawings and understand scope of work to bid.Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to estimate costs.Buy off on part costs in the MRP system.Obtain pricing for materials.Obtain bids from subcontractors and outside process vendors.Prepare cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred in the manufacture of items.Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database.Requirements:Must have CNC Programming experience.Must have Mastercam experience.Must have manufacturing planning experience in order to plan manufacturing operations based on estimates. Prefer minimum five years previous experience.Have good verbal and written English communication skills: ability to read, comprehend and work from written and verbal instructions.High school diploma or GED; prefer minimum two years technical school certificate.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; prefer some previous CAD experience.Ability to be detail-oriented and able to multitask several functions.Ability to organize work to optimize efficiency.
