Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer with extensive expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, deploying, and enhancing the MECM environment to enable modern desktop management co-management with Intune, as well as experience with Microsoft Bitlocker. This role requires a seasoned project lead with a proven track record of successfully deploying enterprise-class solutions, adept at creating technical documents and engineering diagrams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management capabilities, and a collaborative approach are essential for this position.
The Senior Desktop Engineer role offers a remote work opportunity.
Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Managing and optimizing the MECM environment to support modern desktop management co-management with Intune.
Designing, deploying, and enhancing the MECM environment to meet organizational needs.
Leading successful deployments of enterprise-class solutions and projects
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
Administering MECM and Intune to ensure effective desktop management.
Producing clear and concise technical documentation and engineering diagrams
Demonstrating an expert-level understanding of modern desktop management principles and practices
Implementing and supporting Microsoft Bitlocker features for enhanced security.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
5+ years of experience working with MECM in an enterprise environment.
Proven experience in designing and enhancing MECM environments for modern desktop management co-management with Intune.
Certifications: MD-101
Expertise in configuring and managing MECM and Intune in an enterprise setting.
Strong project management skills with a focus on leading successful deployments
Ability to produce comprehensive technical documents and engineering diagrams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration
Team-focused mindset to drive project success.
Advanced understanding of modern desktop management concepts and technologies
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Additional certifications related to Microsoft technologies and desktop management.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for desktop environments
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
