Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our endoscopy ambulatory surgery center in a

Per Diem

role. The (CRNA) is responsible for patient care before, during, and after a procedure by performing a patient assessment, preparing the patient for anesthesia, administering and maintaining the anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management, overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia and caring for the patient's immediate post-operative needs.ResponsibilitiesPerforms patient assessment for planned anesthesia treatment, reviews patient medical records and conditionsCommunicates with patient regarding anesthetic plan and answers any patient questions or concernsMay prepare patient IV and set up monitoring devices to check blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation of the patient during the procedureMonitors patient's status throughout the procedure and adjusts the medications accordinglyAssists nursing staff during patient recovery, assessing for adverse effects to anesthesia careResponds to patient emergency using standard procedures for maintaining patient airway, emergency drug and fluid management, and any life support measures neededResponsible for other aspects such as patient record management and restocking carts and suppliesOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: NursingMaster's Degree or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Nurse AnesthetistCurrent NBCRNA CertificationCurrent ACLS and BLS CertificationsCurrent Washington State APRN and RN LicensureMinimum 1 year experience in an unsupervised clinical setting preferred.Anesthesia experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting preferSkills and AbilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of othersAbility to work cohesively and collaboratively with the team providing careAbility to make critical decisions while following company proceduresThe ability to formulate a sound decision using the available informationAbility to cohesively integrate multiple sources of medical information into planned careStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAdheres to workplace PPE requirements and AANA safe injection practicesPhysical Activities and RequirementsProlonged periods of standing and walkingAbility to bend, stoop, squat and kneel occasionallyAbility to assist patients supporting weight, assisting in positioning of patients, etc.Ability to grasp small objects and manipulate medical instrumentsAbility to reach including reaching overhead and below waistAbility to lift 10 pounds frequently, occasional lifting 25 poundsAbility to push/pull up to 50 lbsLocal travel in the region may be required to other locations as neededWashington Gastroenterology has an excellent compensation and benefit package that includes the following:All employees will be eligible to accrue
