About the Mission You Will Join: VMD is rapidly growing IT services company focused on tackling some of the big challenges in Immigration, Travel, and Critical Infrastructure Protection. We are looking for dynamic individuals to act as "Game Changers" in driving operational efficiency to our customers. In this role, you will be supporting the Department of Homeland Security mission, specifically working to enhance the immigration experience through IT modernization and innovative digital strategies.
Your Impact to the Mission:
As the QA Engineer Lead you will be responsible for the performance of the software test plan development and development of automated test scripts. You will support the Technical Lead in researching and implement best-in-class testing tools. You will implement testing strategies, test conditions, and scripts to improve code coverage. Additionally, you will manage staff across integrated teams.
Experience Needed to Be Successful:Experience developing and executing test plans, automated test cases, scripts, and creating test data from scratch for Agile Software Development team; including functional, integration, regression, data integrity and stress testing as well as assisting with user acceptance.Experience managing the change processes such as build promotions to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production environments.Experience implementing automated test tools to include Selenium, Cucumber, and SonarQube.Scripting knowledge with languages such as Python, Java, and Javascript.Experience with Agile delivery to include requirements tools and tracking (e.g. JIRA).Knowledge in delivering cloud based solutions and services in a mission critical environment.Experience participating in daily scrum stand-up meetings, facilitating Sprint planning meetings and coordinating Sprint reviews, retrospectives, and burn-down charts.Experience identifying and removing impediments from sprints and projects to ensure on time completion.Experience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentation.Experience tracking defects and reporting key metrics for proactively identifying areas for improvement.Desired qualifications and Experience:
8 years in Quality Assurance.Experience delivering mission critical systems in the immigration and travel domains.Proven track record in implementing Agile methodologies to improve software delivery.Technical proficiency with SQL including the ability to create queries to validate data integrity and other data constraints.Basic Qualifiers:
