Key Position Details:Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice..625 FTE position. 10 hour work days. Will work 5 days in a 2 week pay period.Position is located in Eden Prairie100% outpatient practice. Monday - Friday position. No weekends, no call and no holidays.Role supports general cardiology patients. Clinics are located in metro locations.EMR: Epic is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.Job Description:Principle Responsibilities:Completes comprehensive patient assessments.?Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.Participates in health care team.Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.Acts as resource to members of the team.Required QualificationsMaster's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
Preferred QualificationsNew graduates may be considered. Prefer minimum 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU.
Licenses/CertificationsCertification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates).Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).Physical DemandsMedium Work*:Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
