Your Opportunity

As a Senior Project Manager, Water Distribution, you will lead complex drinking water distribution projects in our successful Water business in Minnesota and our North Central region.

In this role, you will lead and support projects related to drinking water distribution systems including distribution system modeling (Water CAD and other applicable software), preparation of drinking water comprehensive plans, planning and design of water distribution and storage infrastructure (pipelines, booster pumps, elevated and ground storage tanks, pressure zones, and other related infrastructure).

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives as well as managing contract terms, tracking and managing costs and schedule, and implementing measures necessary to stay on schedule and within budget
  • You will engage in the development and maintenance of relationships between the Company, strategic partners, and clients to expand business opportunities
  • You'll participate in go/no-go decisions for larger pursuits in the group
  • In coordination with other Project Managers, you will develop and manage the approved scope, budget, invoicing, and schedule on multiple projects simultaneously
  • You'll support senior leadership in identifying Regional Top 20 and Next 20 opportunities, in coordination with regional sectors leads and account managers
  • You'll actively support proposal pricing strategies, cost proposal preparation, contract legal and risk reviews, and related marketing efforts needed to develop winning proposals
  • You are a mentor to future leaders to support their career growth, including supervising junior staff
  • You support BC Leadership with developing, attracting, engaging and retaining top talent

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Proven project management and technical skills applicable to drinking water distribution projects.
  • Experienced in organizing, planning, and executing mid to large projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, subconsultants, and vendors.
  • Ability to make sound defensible business decisions, and identify, assess, evaluate, and solve complex problems.
  • Experience with a wide variety of process system designs.

Education and Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or construction management related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years' relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing and/or coordinating projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required, or ability to obtain PE license within 6 months.
