Project Manager - Resilience/Sustainability

Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., a growing multi-disciplined consulting firm of professional engineers, architects, landscape architects, environmental professionals and planners, is seeking a Project Manager for a full-time position in either our Albany or Somers, NY offices to execute projects with a focus on climate resilience and sustainability. This position would reside within the firm's Sustainable Planning and Design Practice Area, and report directly to the Climate Action Specialist. The Project Manager would interface with staff across all practice areas for a multidisciplinary focus, and serve as the lead for project management of planning reports such as climate action plans, hazard mitigation plans, water resources planning, and other special projects that emphasize climate resilience.

Responsibilities:
  • Work independently without significant input or review from superiors.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, mentor, and manage workload of junior-level staff.
  • Provide quality assurance-quality control review of staff deliverables and work assignments.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and client communications.
  • Summarize technical documents/requirements into layman's terms through written and verbal communication.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports and client/public presentations.
  • Prepare and implement Public Engagement Plans, and attend public informational meetings, public events, etc. to directly interface with public and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical writing, curriculum development, and formatting reviews of key deliverables.
  • Prepare proposals, statements of qualifications, and fee estimates for RFPs/RFQ's in support of business development.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, planning or environmental science.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in the consulting field preferred.
  • A general interest in climate action, hazard mitigation, regional and community planning, stormwater/floodplain/watershed management, and resilient building systems is preferred.
  • Experience in GIS software, workgroup facilitation, survey development and collection, data visualization, mapping, planning, database management, and grant funding is a plus.

Estimated Pay Range: $104,000 - $122,000/year.

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
