Psychiatry Section Head

for Virginia Mason Medical Center Hospital, in Seattle. This is a 1.0 FTE position.Responsibilities

This is a hospital-based position that works cooperatively with the medical, surgical, emergency, and social work services to address the complex medical and behavioral health needs of patients. Responsibilities include providing care for various disorders, educating clinical teams, and collaborating with healthcare professionals in a team-based environment.Schedule/CallThe consult psychiatry team works weekdays taking consults from 8-5.There are currently no overnight or weekend responsibilities for team members as this is currently covered by an outside telepsychiatry service.As the Section Head, strategic oversight and leadership for Hospital Psychiatry are provided in partnership with the Department of Medicine and Department of Hospital Care leaders.Qualifications

BE/BC PsychiatristConsultation-Liaison Fellowship training and C-L Board Certification preferredPsychiatry leadership experienceAbility to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WAAbility to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practiceCompensation for this position will also include a stipend.About Virginia Mason Franciscan Health
