POSITION SUMMARY
Successfully promote and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as guided by the Catholic Social Teachings. The Warehouse associate will be responsible for the smooth running of the warehouse. Our Salvage Warehouse Associates are High-energy individuals with a strong work ethic; the work is fast-paced and physical. There must be strict adherence to all safety policies and wearing the proper safety equipment. This person is also responsible for the proper and safe operation of all mechanical equipment. EEO.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operate a forklift with clamps, baler, and pallet jackMove large boxes on pallets around the warehouse and up onto racks using a forklift.Bale the required amount of salvage cloth in preparation for sale to salvage vendor.Weigh and label all bales to meet trailer weight requirement.Properly separate salvage according to vendor guidelines.Load trucks and prepare bill of lading for sale of salvage and credentials.Maintain accurate record of warehouse inventory to be able to schedule sale of excess products.Maintains a clean work environment, including breakroom, restrooms, floors, walls, and parking lots, as needed.Ensures compliance with warehouse and agency policies and procedures.Reports any incidents of theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession of company property.Other duties as assigned in the store when there are no scheduled truck duties.***2nd Shift- Tuesday-Saturday 1pm-9pm

Employees are not required to be Catholic,however, employees of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas must understand that they are a visible representative of the Archdiocesan Church and as such will not publicly oppose theteachings of the Catholic Faith nor publicly advocate for any position in conflict with Catholic teaching, or the specific positions of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas or the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. This requirement includes any public speech, demonstration, or writing including the use of social media or other digital technologiesMust complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training asrequired.Must be able to pass the DOT physical and gain certificationMust be at least 18 years of age to operate warehouse industrial equipment.You will need to be able to push and pull upwards of 50 pounds and sometimes stand for long periods.Your day will include operating specialized powered and non-powered equipmentPrior warehouse and/or equipment experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.Ability to work flexible hours.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift, push or move up to 50 pounds on a repeated basis.Stand and/or walk for long periods of time (up to 9 hours at a time).Required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Visual functions including near and distance vision and depth perception.Work is primarily performed in a warehouse area where the worker is subject to temperature changes, extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, and vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts and exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dust, and/or gases.
