Functional AccountabilitiesMedication ProcessingInterpret medication orders, profile orders, and oversee the packaging, labeling, and distribution of medications.Drug Intervention and EducationPerform drug therapy monitoring and intervene as necessary on drug dosing, drug administration, drug interactions, side-effects, and monitoring issues; complete therapeutic drug monitoring consults and adverse drug reaction reports as assigned.Provide accurate and timely drug information to physicians, nurses, and other health professionals.Interpret research medication orders, ensure accurate preparation of investigational drugs and maintain complete and accurate records.Must maintain proficiencies in medication handling (including hazardous medications), compounding sterile/non-sterile preparations, and completing quality assurance checks per standard operating procedures and policies in compliance with USP
