Locum Tenens CRNA Needed: Provide Essential Anesthesia Care near Manly, Iowa (j-190953)

We're actively searching for a skilled and experienced CRNA to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our surgical suites. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in a supportive environment and explore the beauty of North Central Iowa.What this Rewarding Opportunity Offers:Immediate Impact:Address a critical need by providing essential anesthesia care as soon as possible. You'll play a vital role in ensuring timely surgical procedures for our patients.Flexible Scheduling:Maintain schedule flexibility with focused daytime shifts, typically lasting around 8 hours. While the schedule may vary slightly, weekends and call coverage are not required.Supportive Team Environment:Work collaboratively alongside surgeons, surgical techs, and registered nurses in our two well-equipped operating rooms.Focus on Patient Care:Provide safe and effective anesthesia for a variety of scheduled surgeries, primarily cataract procedures, alongside some general surgeries, colonoscopies, carpal tunnel surgeries, and more. Pain management cases are not included.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with surgeons to develop and implement safe and effective anesthesia plans for each patient.Administer various anesthesia techniques, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care.Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and provide critical care interventions during surgery.Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the Cerner/Community Works electronic health record system (data entry support provided by other staff).Work independently while maintaining open communication with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Qualifications for Success:Current national certification as a CRNA (NBCRNA) is mandatory.Valid active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa is required.Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are essential.Possession of a COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.A minimum of experience with general surgery (adult and pediatric), minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, regional anesthesia, ventilation management, local infiltration anesthesia, and spinal anesthesia for total knee replacements.Experience with procedures such as cataracts, colonoscopies, EGDs, and carpal tunnel releases is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team is crucial.This is a remarkable opportunity for a motivated and experienced CRNA to contribute to patient care in a growing Iowa community.
