The Director of Cloud and Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's technology infrastructure to ensure its smooth operation, aligning technology strategies with organizational goals, and maintaining IT systems' availability, reliability, and security. Additionally, they will lead a team of IT professionals to provide high-quality technical support.Responsibilities:Define, document, and enforce network and security policy standards.Collaborate with vendors on system design upgrades, explore new technologies, and participate in Information Security and Disaster recovery testing.Handle escalated Help Desk ticket requests for technical support.Maintain a stable networking environment by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network issues, and scheduling upgrades.Develop a knowledgebase by documenting and resolving issues.Coordinate with other IT departments for planning, deploying, and troubleshooting.Provide system and security architectural support across various areas.Evaluate and implement new technologies as needed.Manage resources during outage situations and lead resolution efforts.Offer leadership and support to IT teams.Perform other assigned duties.Required Job Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related fieldExperience in server infrastructure, database, UNIX, Linux, Windows, VMware, Citrix, Networking, LAN/WAN, Firewall, Active Directory, Exchange, Security, Client Computing, Back-up Systems, Data Center Operations, Storage, ITIL Systems, telecommunications/voice, Call center systems, etc.Demonstrated success in developing and supporting applications in a 24x7 healthcare setting.Proven experience in managing large, complex, enterprise-class solutions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive and innovative approach.Experience with project management techniques, ITSM functionalities, and disaster recovery.Ability to work occasional nights/weekends and travel in the Chicago area.Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.Preferred Job Qualifications:Diverse technical infrastructure background with project management skills.Seven (7) years of technical team leadership experience.Seven (7) years of infrastructure technology support and implementation experience.ITIL foundations.Strategic, business-oriented, and innovative mindset.Technical leadership and team management skills.Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:Knowledge of public and private hybrid data cloud solutions.Strong analytical, process, and problem-solving skills.Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.Effective teamwork, leadership, and communication abilities.Ability to manage projects, mentor staff, and adapt to change.
