Job Description
The front-end UI/UX web developer will work in collaboration with branding, content, and web development teams to build and maintain websites, using design layout and content management tools, scripting languages, and digital media. In addition, they will identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, correct the problems and evaluate code to ensure that it meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, and operating systems.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAdheres to company policies and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.Use UI/UX best practices for designing the interface of websites and web applications, including elements such as buttons, forms, navigation menus, and other interactive components, ensuring that the user experience is smooth and intuitive by focusing on factors such as usability, accessibility, and user interaction.Write clean HTML markup and CSS styles to implement UI/UX designs and ensure consistency across different browsers and devices.Have a working knowledge of JavaScript, implementing interactive features and functionality including client-side validation, dynamic content loading, and other interactive elements.Create responsive layouts that adapt to various screen sizes and devices, ensuring a consistent user experience across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.Working closely with back-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate front-end components with back-end systems to ensure a cohesive user experience.Identify issues and deficiencies uncovered during testing or through customer feedback, and proceed to correct them accordingly.Evaluate and optimize front-end code to meet industry standards and be compatible with browsers, devices, and operating systems.Maintain understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.Create procedures for ongoing website content revision.Follow established guidelines to organize file structure.Identify or maintain links to and from other websites and check links to ensure proper functioning.Perform website tests according to planned schedules, or after any website or product revisions.Recommend and implement performance improvements.Research, document, rate, or select alternatives for web layout and design.Select and implement needed layout and design tools, plugins, or applications.Other duties as assigned.This position requires in-person and on-site work in Wichita, Kansas.
