CNC Programmer

CNC Programmer is responsible for being the main point of contact in the dimensional lab for PPAP, programs, machine validations, and fixtures measurements in CNC machines by sharing dimensional reports, and adjustments needed in the different features of the products.Part of their responsibilities is also to be the leader of the CNC technicians and train them in GD&T and drawings/reports interpretations and CNC program modifications.RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor and analyze project schedules.Write Pc-dmis / Calypso programs for part layouts and fixture certification.Analyzes inspection problem by comparing part with blueprints or CAD, and revises procedures necessary to measure specified dimensions.Performs CMM part checks on surface plate or positions in gauging setup to verify dimensions.Analyzes defective parts to determine reasons for dimensional variations such as faulty machining, or assembly procedures, setup, tools or fixtures.Monitors daily quality status with regards SPC and reports non-conformances.Recommends corrective procedures to engineering and production departments.Inspects machining or assembly fixtures, tools or gauges and suggests replacement or use of new equipment.Approves parts not within specified dimension tolerances.Interprets allowable tolerances specified on CAD.Executes capability and GR&R studies.QUALIFICATIONS:5 years at least in CNC programmingREQUIRED SKILLS:Ability to work in a team with high commitment and great flexibilityEnthusiasm about interdisciplinary thinking and teamworkProficiency in project scheduling softwareInterpersonal skills and abilities to deal effectively at all levels and with corporate / external partners.Sound analytical and organizational skills, structured working approach and attention to details.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.PREFERRED SKILLS:Good written and verbal communication skills.Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.Good ability of planning, organizing, and controlling activities (multitasking)Results-oriented, product focused excellent ability to work cross functionally.Excellent Problem solving and debugging skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:Location:
