Full TimePosition OverviewKiewit Building Group is looking for a Senior Estimator who can assist the estimating team with estimates exceeding $30 million for vertical buildings in commercial, education, sports, healthcare, mixed-use, multifamily, and government installations.Location:
Omaha, NE. Occasional regional travel may be required.Responsibilities:Review owner plans and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project; develop a construction plan for the estimate.Review and assist with proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.Conduct site investigations to identify any unusual conditions prior to forming a plan of operations.Stay updated on industry trends and developments.Provide leadership in subcontractor and vendor selection.Prepare special engineering studies or reports as required.Consult with owners on various problems encountered during bid preparation.Qualifications:Undergraduate or graduate degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or construction-related technology, or other Bachelor's level degree with extensive related work experience.5+ years of related experience with a preference for field and office experience.Extensive knowledge and experience with complex Vertical Building projects.Strong attention to detail, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.Ability to work in various physical and climatic conditions.Other Requirements:Ability to work productively and meet deadlines.Effective communication and interaction skills.Ability to work safely and effectively, following instructions.Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.May work at various locations with varying conditions.We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision plans, wellness programs, life insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
