Animal Breeder (Multiple Openings)

JOB LOCATION:6306 Co Rd 20, Cimarron, KS 67835JOB DUTIES :Responsible for coordinating reproductive healthcare of pregnant cows and heifers within commercial dairy operation. Specific duties include: (1) identifying pregnant cows and heifers through ultrasound or transrectal palpation methods; (2) assisting team in separation, selection, order, and identification of corral, and assisting with management rail at heifer yard and dairy; (3) maintaining updated computer records for cows and heifers through DC305 to identify herd information; (4) developing reproductive plan for dairy; and (5) assisting with implementation of programs related to heat detection, semen handling, hormonal protocols management for synchronization, and artificial insemination.REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or related; one year of livestock experience; and specific background in artificial insemination.Interested candidates should submit a resume & cover letter to HR, Gray County Dairy, Inc., 6306 Co Rd 20, Cimarron, KS 67835.
