Under general supervision, receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail. Collects and processes outgoing mail. Operates postage machine and other mailroom equipment as needed. Provides set-up and take-down support to ensure the success of all MECU events. Assists with supply procurement and distribution when needed.Education
High School Diploma, RequiredGeneral Education Degree (GED), in lieu of H.S. DiplomaExperience
One (1) year, working in a mailroom – PreferredStock clerk or shipping/clerk a plusEssential Functions and Basic Duties
Sort mail according to destination and type, such as returned letters, adjustments, bills, orders, and payments.Sort incoming mail for distribution and dispatch outgoing mailStamps date and time on incoming and outgoing mail.Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.Compiles records of items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories.Computes total cost of items purchased, using calculator.Confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries.Assist with setup and breakdown of various Credit Union events.Qualifications and/or Additional Functions
Valid Maryland Driver's License with a clean driving record – RequiredAbility to work in a fast-moving environmentOther duties as assignedSaturday hours may be required.Position Specific Physical Demands
