About the Role
As an accountant, you’ll play a critical role in accounting operations by supporting the day-to-day processes, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting. Your work will have a direct impact on our ability to continue to grow and scale as one of the premier Insurance technology companies in the country.
Please note:
This is an onsite role working out of our Bethesda, MD office.
Here's what you'll do day-today:
Support monthly operations to generate customer invoices.
Collections/Customer Support: address customer questions, invoice delivery issues and payment issues.
Support team with monthly Journal Entries and account reconciliations.
Manage weekly Accounts Payable process.
Manage vendor profiles.
Manage full 1099 lifecycle.
Assist in Accounts Receivable processes, such as applying customer payments, making weekly bank deposit, and processing merchant reconciliation and disputes.
Support operational improvements and documentation.
Minimum requirements:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance from accredited university
2-3 years working in a mid to large company experience performing accounting duties, preferably in the SAAS industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of NetSuite preferred
Self-Starter with ability to work independently and think critically
Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, with experience in Excel
Knowledge of insurance industry a plus
