Direct management of the healthcare needs of newborn infants in a Newborn Nursery in an urban setting.Coordinating care from admission to discharge: comprehensive physical assessment, daily management and documentation of care plan and course of care, parent/family education.Effective collaboration with other maternal health care providers and nursery staff in a culture of respect and in conjunction with a pediatrician or neonatologist.Must demonstrate reliability, clinical competence and ability to work both independently and cohesively as a member of a highly functioning team.Assist with quality improvement activities and education of residents, medical students and NP students.Qualifications:
Master's Degree from an accredited Pediatric or Neonatal programCurrent Nurse Practitioner certificationMaryland NP licenseNRP and BLS CPR requiredOne year of clinical experience specific to practice preferred
