FirstDay Foundation is seeking a Proposal Coordinator/Graphics Designer with the following qualifications:Education:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related fieldExperience:
3+ years of experience working as a proposal coordinator and/or graphics designer with demonstrated experience designing all visual elements of federal proposals (formatting, design, infographics, photos).Location:
On-site role in Washington DC metropolitan area. Remote work authorized until office space is obtained.Critical Action Items:
Build response templates and format proposal documents.Design graphics for proposals and presentations.Work closely with Proposal Management Director.Prepare, format, and perform desktop publishing-related tasks.Participate in proposal team meetings and reviews.Manage multiple design projects.Convey complex ideas visually.Extract requirements from solicitation documents.Other Responsibilities:
Attend trainings and conferences.Travel as needed.Perform assigned job duties.Requirements:
Knowledge of business development and U.S. government procurement.Highly collaborative, organized, detail-oriented, creative, and inquisitive.Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.Experience in data visualization and creating impactful infographics.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Adobe Creative Suite.Critical thinking, research, and analysis skills.Anticipated travel of 10%.Valid state driver’s license and clear driving record.Clear criminal background check.
