The Director of Home Loans Strategic Sales is responsible for leading a team of loan officers and area sales managers. This role focuses on driving revenue through loan originations, expanding our presence in key markets, and spearheading initiatives in community lending. The ideal candidate will be committed to nurturing a robust sales team that aligns with our core values and vision, enhancing our impact on the communities we serve.Position AccountabilitiesTeam Leadership and Management: Oversee the daily operations of the sales team, providing strategic direction and support to ensure achievement of sales targets.Cultivating Sales Culture: Foster a high-performance sales culture by encouraging continuous learning, recognition, and team collaboration. Implement initiatives that promote motivation, accountability, and a positive team spirit.Recruitment and Team Growth: Identify, recruit, and retain top talent who align with our organizational values and objectives, with a focus on expanding our team’s presence in strategic markets.Community Lending and Outreach: Lead and expand our community lending initiatives, including outreach to first-time homebuyers and underserved communities, to ensure access to mortgage solutions that meet their unique needs.Revenue Generation: Drive the team to achieve and exceed loan origination targets through effective sales strategies and customer engagement.Market Expansion: Strategically grow our market presence by identifying and developing opportunities in new and existing territories.Training and Development: Implement training programs that enhance the skills of the sales team and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Organizational RelationshipThis position reports to: Consumer Lending Chief Operating OfficerPosition QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred8 years of experience leading a mortgage sales teamKnowledge & SkillsProven experience in sales management within the mortgage or financial services industry.Strong leadership skills with a track record of successful team management and development.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.Deep understanding of the mortgage industry, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.Commitment to community engagement and experience in managing community-focused lending programs.Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
